Life Cycle Assessment of Infrastructures - Buildings:
The Chair of Sustainable Construction at
ETH Zurich has conducted a major research study on how
comparative Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) of residential buildings may be simplified in the future.
The study was conducted in cooperation with the Swiss Research Centre for Rationalisation in Building and Civil Engineering
CRB
as well as with
Holcim Group Support
and aimed at an environmental analysis of a larger sample of Swiss apartment buildings (new buildings as of 2006).
The results of the study are presented in the dissertation
“Derivation of reliable simplification
strategies for the comparative LCA of individual and "typical" newly built Swiss apartment buildings“ by Viola John
